Continuation of Part 2
After watching all of the great videos posted in the help thread from Part 2. It was time to try draw filing. I'd used this technique before, but not on a rifle barrel, and not on old rusty steel like this, so this was new to me in a way.
I added 2 pics of the barrel up close to show all of the rust that just wasn't coming off from steel wool and rust remover.
The next 3 pics show the barrel after draw filing. It really pulled the rust off and straightened the lines out on the oct. barrel. After draw filing, I put fine wet sanding paper around the file to smooth out the slight milling marks from my file.
In the last imagine you can see the huge improvement of the barrel over what it looked like to start.
