I got a pair of mark I thumb rest wood grips I can modify to fit Mark ii but don’t want to if they are rare! They don’t have cut out for slide stop ! I really like that style of grips!
not real common grips . It would probably take an end mill to modify the grips correctly to fit a MKII. Looks like they would need a little TLC to bring them up to good shape.
MK I and MK II original thumb grips are difficult to find at a decent price!! There is a pair on ebay for the MK II they are wanting 60$ plus shipping!!
I purchased these grips [if I can post them] several years ago. I don't recall the source nor what I paid for them.
By jove! I think I did it. The grips are a hand full to say the least, but they are also very good for target shooting. The pistol is a 1969 year model. I bought it in 1970 for $100.00. I put the Millett sights on it about 2009. I don't believe they are made any more.
Yes, there 2 types, the latter is marked under the left hand grip. I forget the correct marking but it has the number 100 in it. I traded my Mk I so I can't look.
Someone will come along in a little while and give you the correct info.
They look similar to Herrett automatic target grips and I would say $300 - 400 bucks it depends on condition and if the original box is with it
