Anyone know what the barrel length is on an Anschutz 64MS (Metallic Silhouette)?
Thanks

My 64 MS, bought new in March 1991, has a 21.5" barrel.

You're welcome.

And it is a left-handed 64MS.

That makes it special
Probably pretty rare.

65 MS

I had a couple of each; the 64 MS is remarkably similar to the 54 MS.

As I remember, the stocks are externally identical, as are the barrels. The 64s have the 5091 (five ounce two-stage) trigger, the forerunner to the 5098 trigger.

Obviously the stocks are inletted differently for different receivers and the barrel has a different tenon. The weight difference is attributed to the few ounces difference in the actions.

My friend made a relatively light-weight RH benchrest rifle out of a LH 64 MS I had; we took a trip to Don Stith's for the stock. I don't think he's shot it since.

Then I came upon another LH 64 MS that shot better than the one my friend had and I traded that to him for the one he already had...Tom
