I got a pair of mark I thumb rest wood grips I can modify to fit Mark ii but don’t want to if they are rare! They don’t have cut out for slide stop ! I really like that style of grips!

not real common grips . It would probably take an end mill to modify the grips correctly to fit a MKII. Looks like they would need a little TLC to bring them up to good shape.

I purchased these grips [if I can post them] several years ago. I don't recall the source nor what I paid for them.

By jove! I think I did it. The grips are a hand full to say the least, but they are also very good for target shooting. The pistol is a 1969 year model. I bought it in 1970 for $100.00. I put the Millett sights on it about 2009. I don't believe they are made any more.

I shoot pins with the Ruger from time to time.

Are there not 2 types of Mark 1 grip frames? Early and newer? https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forum...d.php?t=264531

Sold my thumb grips. Thumb should not make contact, IMO .

Yes, there 2 types, the latter is marked under the left hand grip. I forget the correct marking but it has the number 100 in it. I traded my Mk I so I can't look.

Someone will come along in a little while and give you the correct info.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

The earlier grip frame was the A-54 and the later, the A-100.

Yes - and the A54 was not marked but was the key number in the manual.

after market grips for a Mark1

I have this set of grips for this Mark1 Target. Can anyone identify them? What would this pistol, with grips and muzzle break be worth?

They look similar to Herrett automatic target grips and I would say $300 - 400 bucks it depends on condition and if the original box is with it
