I wanted to do something different as this rifle has a lot of potential.
First I fabricated a tensioned sleeve for the barrel, Turned and threaded the barrel 1/2x28 and installed the sleeve.
I machined an aluminum thread protector to finish the barrel off and protect the threads until my form 1 comes back for a suppressor.
I also turned a bolt knob to match the muzzle.
Stock was modded by adding a cheekpiece and widening the foreend.
I like it alot. Let me know what you guys think.
Im waiting for the Burgandy Duracoat to get here for the stock

Very nice!
Did you use wood to widen the forearm or just plastic?

Do you forsee any problems with the sleeve affecting the harmonics of the barrel.

I used poplar for the stock mods. The sleeve is tensioned to 25 ft lbs so it should help accuracy somewhat like a bull barrel.

Looks great. And to think I have not taken mine out of the box yet.

All I can say is "WOW"!

Having no artistic or mechanical skills of my own makes me jealous of your ability to turn a visual concept into the real deal.

I tip virtual hat to you and I can't wait to see the finished product and some groups.
