Ok, got my pics straightened out.
This is the rifle that Bill Myers built that Inez used to shoot. My understanding is that it is this action that Bill used to prototype his famed Myers action.

Some great history. I have two Bill Myers Suhls and they both are as good as anything being put together today. John

So it looks to be a modified Suhl 150 with the loading port opened up to allow left handed loading and Myers stamped it as a Suhl 250 is what I'm seeing,Really never was a Suhl manufactured 250 in this case just a highly modified Suhl 150 action, pretty cool and great thought process to take an existing manufacturers action and modify it for use.Hmmmm, where have I seen that before

Lets see some targets please, nice rifle

I've had two of the KSS Myers actions. They are more like a 40-X and nothing like a Suhl.

Tommy,

There isn't an over stamp.. it is what is says.. i was told that Bill made this action.. and called it what it is..

John,

i am going from what i have been told.. but what i do know.. it is a shooter! Are the Myers actions you have, the ones built by Don and Lynwood?

Doc,I'm not saying it was an overstamped action.I'm saying he massaged an existing Suhl action into what he wanted it to be.I think however since you said the serial number was on the otherside which I find difficult to believe as just about every Suhl I have ever seen has the stamped serial number located at the front of the action and a stamp stating where it was manufactured also on the same side I believe he heavily modified the action to his liking to open the port area up so it could be loaded from the left and then stamped it as a 250 where the original serial number had been polished off or removed. I'm just a shooter not a gunsmith but do know a few things about Suhl actions

Bring it to Chickenfoot,St Louis is of no interest to me at this time, just too far for this ole cripple ta drive. It is an interesting modified rifle tho,Would love to see it shoot or at least see it in person to see how the action works.I saw 1 of John's Myer smithed Suhls the other weekend at Chattanooga, nice rifle, and Brads Don Blue smithed rifle is a great shooting modified Suhl 150 as well (that's a pic of it's modified factory receiver with the correct factory placed serial number above in the blue Meredith stock),but there is no Suhl 250 as manufactured by Suhl.....

The Suhl 150 Standard was the earlier model Suhls. The Suhl 150-1 was the 2nd model Suhls. The first Suhl 150 Standard was made I believe in 1973. The later model Suhl 150-1 was made somewhere in the 80's but don't know the dates.
