Work was as I figured. Short and unorganized. Main A/C not working so was hot. Smaller unit was so some cooling from den and kitchen drifting back. Spent most of my time with BIL getting power to a sorry low cost thermostat. Had power from transformer. Fuse was OK. Finally after pushing on the thing, it lit up and could be set. Set fan to on as a test. No fan. Unit did not respond. Wifey and sister were trying to removed the tile on the back bathroom floor [big one]. I helped a little with back brace on. They seemed to know more than me so I walked out.

Home to shower and may have to go with Wifey to Talbots.

96 and thunder all around. Guessers were right on 40% at 4 PM.

koonta, I could use that at the farms for a few days. Maybe you could bring it.
Talbots? What did you do? Break a window?

I quit the Legion AND the VFW both about 30 t years ago, at the time they were comprised of groups of over-the-hill WWII and Korea alcoholics whose only concern was the financial condition of the bar. Most of them didn't really cotton to the idea of having Vietnam vets in the outfit but allowed it so somebody would get something done. When I quit drinking there was absolutely no reason to go back. Legion Post folded it's tent a few years later, lost their building due to mismanagement . There are still a few of them around, they have a little meeting every so often at the VFW hall.

Well it finally got around to raining....A CODE RED warning from the Sheriffs Dept. and flash flood watch...we got a lot of noise and 18 points of rain before it left.

I have not watered the fence, but as a toddler I did grab it once,,, it wouldn't let me go, my mother pulled me off of it.As a teen I was picking apples and the ladder folded,I hung on to the branches and came down straddling the electric barbed wire fence. That was close.

Was up and out early to buy a Stihl pole tree pruner, the one I came home with a 36 cc engine pole extends 7 to 11 feet. Didnít get to use it the wife had other plans for me. Finished up outside at 5:30.

Tomorrow off to find waddles to replace the two year old ones I put down the hill beside the drive.

I tried it a couple times when the solunar table said excellent. I've never had any luck on tannic stained waters after dark but have on clear water bodies.

I joined the Legion for one year back in the day but the only woman ever there was a well sought after bartender by inebriated members. I'm a life member of all the rest except one.

I was 2 humid ˚s away from turning on the air. Its 79 in and 71 out now finally, err, at last.

You'll be very hard pressed to beat his astoundingly insulting yet classic thread.
