Yeah, the trigger was a bit stiff, but I just cleaned out all the crud that Rossi puts on/in everything from the trigger group. It seemed smoother after the cleaning. We shall see. My next trip will be to a public outdoor range in Wisconsin. Less distractions there.

While cleaning the RSMW2111 trigger, I noticed a hole through the trigger guard that provides access to a small screw behind the trigger. I looked at the exploded view on the international Rossi sight and the the screw appears to press against the "adjustment spring". No where is it mentioned that the trigger is adjustable in either the USA or International manuals. I think I will be turning that screw tonight and checking it with my pull gauge.

Took my Rossi to the Owen Anderson outdoor range in Wisconsin last Saturday. Got a reasonable group at 100 yards with Hornady 30Gr Varmint Express after sighting in again. Scope and rings are holding tight now. Federal Game Shock was not quite as good as the Hornady, but acceptable. I used the rest of my CCI ammo and it was OK except for a FTF (reloaded into mag 3 times and never fired). Tried the CCI/Savage A22 ammo again and it is horrible. FTEs and FTFs galore. I shot up the rest of the box of 200 to get rid of it. I am not impressed with CCI ammo in general. I ordered 200 rounds of Aguila Silver Eagle ammo online. It is hard to find. I will try that next. My Marlin 795 .22LR loves Aguila Super Extra (accurate, runs great in all 3 of my rifles).

I tried to get a straight answer from Rossi (Taurus) on the adjustment screw at the rear of the trigger guard. They just give me a runaround (vague response e-mails after a few days). I am starting to have buyers remorse. Also, the "International" Rossi site now redirects to the Rossi USA site and the guy with nail polish shooting the RS22MW2111 (Yuck!). They still don't have magazines for this rifle. Interestingly, Mills Fleet Farm has the RS22 (.22LR) on sale for $99 bucks this week. I don't have much confidence in Rossi as an entity. I may trade in my rifle for a Savage or Marlin.

Finally!!!

Asked whether the adjustment screw at the back of the trigger guard is for the trigger on June 3rd. Finally, (Gabrielle) says she reviewed the model and that the trigger is not adjustable. 13 days to answer a question.

The Aguila Silver Eagle .22WMR ammo I ordered is "Out for delivery". I ordered it from Outdoor Limited on June 8th. I also ordered a different scope (Simmons ProTarget Rimfire 3x9x40) which is also "Out for delivery". I ordered it on June 17th.
I am hoping the scope works out better than the Vortex Optics Copperhead 4-12x44 I have on the Rossi. I compared it to my other less expensive rifles' scopes last night and it is not as bright or sharp. It works, but that's all I can say about it.

Jam-o-matic!

After firing 25 rounds of the Aguila ammo I notice that all the case are "puckered" at the base. This seems to be the problem with FTEs and possibly the powder burns. I dropped it off at the dealer to ship back to Rossi/Braztech. The dealer says Rossi is horrible and the last return took 4 months. We shall see, I guess.

My dealer e-mailed me that he's picking up the shipping cost. It's on its way (Fedex).

The nail polish must be a Brazilian thing, like the 'Brazilians' that nation exported to us a few years back. I like the look of these rifles, especially w/ the banana clips. Gives them a little attitude.

The "banana clip" hold 10 rounds. If they don't run in the rifle, what is the point? Rossi's bolt action rimfires have metal magazines.

It's in the box on the way back to Rossi. It is held together with screws.

I wonder if they could be modified to hold more? They are quite large physically.
