to add to the above - ive accumulated a dozen pumps from the remingtons and savages mentioned to winchesters , i do not have a henry yet , i might buy an old one if one shows up at the correct moment in time but im not actively seeking one out
In my experience, the Henry .22 lever action rifles are pretty smooth, their pump rifle not so much. If you are really hankering for a pump action rifle, I would consider a Remington, a used Winchester model 61, 62, or a Rossi or Taurus 62 clone.
