There's even a DST .22 WMR. Someone buy these before I do!

Two fine rifles. I may be tempted by the 22 if it hasnít sold by Thursday night.

Ahh I saw the mention of the magnum and thought that was the second link. Iím a fan of the 1422, it fits my taste more. Both are bargains IMO.

I do not recall what I paid for mine but it shoots just ever so close to as well as my 1710 DKL. Excellent rifle.

Buy the 1422. This will never happen again in your lifetime! Unbelievable! One of the best shooting 22 sporter rifles ever!

I've been very happy with the accuracy of my CZ, especially with Eley Tenex. This one has had a few extras added. Still easily within your $1000.00 limit.

I bought a new Remington 5451S about 40 years ago on my brother's recommendation. He already had one and urged me to get one too. Between the two of us we have killed 1000s of squirrels, prairie dogs, rabbits, etc. and both guns still remarkably accurate, durable, and beautiful. They turn up now and then on RFC for $800-$1200

I have a 457 at one and a Zephyr 2. Both shoot .5 inch at 50. The Cz has such a sweet trigger, but the Steyr has that gorgeous walnut stock. That gun gets the oohs and awes at the range.

Bought yesterday from my LGS...$799 including the Leupold 2-7x Rimfire Special scope....

Deals are out there if you get around enough, I'd bought a T/C G1 Stainless Carbine in .22lr the day before for $285

I swapped out a CZ 455 for a used 54 Sporter and have never looked back. A wise man once told me "buy once, cry once". It is worth the few extra dollars over your budget. Don't get me wrong, I loved my CZ, but the 54 is in a different league. Unless you want it strictly for the bench, then the stock isn't great.

I've decided that the next bolt action 22 I buy will likely be a Browning T-Bolt. I've heard mixed reviews regarding the magazines, but most negative stuff I've read dates to many years ago, so I'm betting that they've worked the kinks out of them. Besides, I rather like the idea of a pull/push non-rotating bolt on a rimfire.

Rem 547

Consider a used Remington 547 Classic, or maybe a 'C' grade if one can be found within your budget.
