So glad I moved out. I suppose none of them eat any kind of meat, because, you know......"it's not OK to kill".
Me too. The NYC DEC has been encouraging squirrel hunting for years. Interesting to note that " New York State" is capitalized in the article to imply the humane association is public agency but "new york" is not capitalized when referring to DEC, the actual state agency. A bit subliminal. I remember when such an article would be unheard of in Columbia or Greene Counties. I have many memories of hunting with my Dad, uncles , cousins and friends on our family land in New Baltimore (Greene co.). Sad to see this in the Catskills. Now making new memories with My son and some friends in NE Tennessee.

Pass thru on previous victims, err, quarry, when the feeder and perch were in different locations before I began putting a wooden backer behind said critters.

Got out today for the last time before the season ends. Saw a few but they never sat still long enough for clear shot. Weather was great. A day well spent.

Howdy to all you chowder heads,, Hope everybody got to get out an kill a few squirrels this year,, I didnt get out as much due to work load but when I did I found several, Mast wasnt very good in my area this fall, so they migrated out around deer season,, I didnt even get over to hunt with 22 man this year, which is one of my fav things to do,, every time I get up there I learn somthing new from him,,, great guy to hunt with,, Walkerdog is feeding up a new crop of yard squirrels, which is where i plan on hunting opening day, Sarge,, we killed the heck out of yalla and hog suckers this gigging season, an can say not a crumb was wasted,, funny how cold beer washes them down so good,,, See you cats later Dryholer,,

Dryholer, I wish you'd retire so you could take me sucker fishing!!! And show me how to properly score them and then show me how to properly cook them. I can figure out the properly eating them part on my own!!!

Good to see you dryholer! You need to quit that working, it will kill ya. Retire and come to Arkansas. We will kill squirrels and eat jalapeno poppers until we bust.

Went on a quick hunt on the last day of the Mississippi Squirrel season. Got a fox and a gray. Also bagged a trash panda. He won't be eating any more turkey or quail eggs! Saw a couple more gray's to far for a shot and the leaves were to dry and crunchy for a stalk. Lots of acorns on the ground and lots of acorns still in the trees. Maybe we will have a good crop next season.

Head Shots Only

Hello all. Iím still pretty new to the forum. I mostly post on the CZ forum. I have been enjoying the transition from that horrible mainstream social media platform and back to my forum roots! I grew up squirrel hunting with my model 60 then my dads Rem 512, and now the CZ457.
