With all big bump in gun values what is a nice, clean one worth these days?

I'm referring to the basic, beech stocked/tangent sight model.

I would think $500 to $600 would be a fair price for both the seller and buyer.

I recently sold a well used 452 UltraLux in excellent condition for $500. It would take as much for someone to pry my Trainer away from me, if I could even be convinced.

What it's "worth" and what's the Market willing to pay are not the same these days.

Market is inflated. Inflated market doesn't reflect in increased "worth."

Nick is correct in that it's "worth" is about $450 usd

Tniron is correct in that the Market is willing to pay north of $600 for them.

Location makes a difference, in my area CZ's are pretty common, not unusual to see them both new and used. I purchased a very nice 2000 model 452 Trainer for as I recall $350 just a few months ago. Just a couple of months previous I'd purchased a very clean 452 Lux in .22wmr for about the same price.

Location does make a difference. I don't see many 452 models around here. I do see 457's in some of the shops but very little used CZ rifles of any kind. I have never seen a 453! I am in the Middle Tennessee area.

I picked up a 2004 452 trainer off GB $520 shipped to me here recently. Five rounds through the spout and it very much looked that way. I was happy, he was happy.

Tomayto, tomahto. It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it, even if it wouldn't be worth that much to you.

Yeah and what gets fun is when someone tells you what they are going to pay you for your rifle. Not an offer but a demand. With me thats when tbe asking price goes up!

Thanks guys.

I ran into one this weekend for $325, but it will involve state to state shipping, transfer fees, etc. Adds quite a bit to a purchase.

I kick myself for not looking at the date code. If I don't buy it myself I'll spill the beans for whoever might be interested.

Even with shipping and transfer fees you should be under or close to $400. Still a good price IMO.

My 452 Trainer and 452 Special are worth more to me than the market price. I bought my Special new in box for $275....so you know I've had it for a while.

If you don't have a 452 Trainer, Special, Lux, or Ultra Lux, I could understand paying $600 for one. They are fun to shoot and if well cared for, your grandchildren will be shooting them.

Well, I'll probably regret it but I'm not going to buy it myself.
If anyone here wants to know where it is, PM me and I'll pass it along.
