Got my 3rd Friday nite, Sept 24, with no punky feeling like I had with the 2nd one. Piece of cake for this geezer doing his part for Murica. YMMV

Has it been tough for you to shoot on the bench at the empty range with your mask on?

Asking for a friend. Sunday fun day

No public ranges here so I shoot at a gravel pit by my lonesome.

Waiting to see when some of below the current cut-off can get it. If they time it right we should be around the "6 months ago" window.

Lots of restaurants are complaining about business falling off due to proof of vaccination requirement. Feel for them but they're also struggling with lack of hired help. Read an article about they hire someone, the person works a few days, maybe a week, then just doesn't show up. Some of the new hires discover it's a job and so they walk away.

Ever since I got my J&J vaccine back in March , my cell phone reception has been awesome. Probably would get a booster if it wasnít much trouble.

Local restaurantís around here are insane. Need a reservation at all of them. We usually have 5 oíclock reservations at a very popular local steakhouse since we like to eat at the bar and itís typically not busy yet. Early because we donít like sleeping on a full stomach and also beat the crowd. Last night it was busy at 5 , and by the time we left at 7 it was so crowded it was uncomfortable. My wife is not vaccinated (fight about it every day) so we try to avoid the crowds. NYC requires proof of vaccine so my wife canít get into a restaurant. She may be forced to since her company has over 100 people and they do government contracts. Itís in legal now. Sheís been talking about getting the shot with my son. Fingers crossed.

On the fence as to get the booster when it comes out. I really didn't want the initial shots. Compromised immune system and pressure from my doctors resulted in my getting the first shots.

Being forced to get the shots is wrong IMHO.

Glad you feel good about getting the booster Al! I hope and pray that all here stay healthy no matter their choices!

I'm not quite to the 6 month mark Al but I'm going to get the booster as soon as I get there. Walmart makes it easy to schedule and who knows, might pick up some golden globules while I'm there

I haven't noticed better cell reception D but that 3rd eye that grew on my forehead after the first vaccination sure helps with depth perception for night driving!

Since this thread was started and most are going for their 2nd or 3rd shot, I am curious (no right or wrong answer) are you reviewing any dtata sets or studies on the effects of mRNA out of Israel, Italy and the like? Or are you just getting the shot based on CDC/FDA/Govt recomendations?

The reason I ask...is the members of this forum analyze every aspect of their Rimfires...screw tension, ammo testing, lot testing within ammo testing, which front rest, which rear test, humidity, BP, bedding, etc...wondering if that translates to vax status...

That said I also know that many in this site are in the, well, "older" cohort..

Thank you

I don't need no stinkin' booster. I have super-immunity...

So who is capable of mounting this "superhuman" or "hybrid" immune response?

People who have had a "hybrid" exposure to the virus. Specifically, they were infected with the coronavirus in 2020 and then immunized with mRNA vaccines this year. "Those people have amazing responses to the vaccine," says virologist Theodora Hatziioannou at Rockefeller University, who also helped lead several of the studies. "I think they are in the best position to fight the virus. The antibodies in these people's blood can even neutralize SARS-CoV-1, the first coronavirus, which emerged 20 years ago. That virus is very, very different from SARS-CoV-2."
