Can you blame her. Would you stroll out the the target stand and leave your wife sitting at the bench with a rifle.

So, you must have a wonderful, understanding and considerate wife and you should probably tell her I said so.
I showed her your post Squirrel and she was tickled. She will do about anything there is to help me out and make me feel good. I reposted that picture back up on the original thread in case you haven't seen it.

Disclaimer to the picture is that the bolt was open with an empty chamber and I was holding the camera. Would have defeated the purpose to have taken the rifle down. I wouldn't risk upsetting her with it any other way.

The way my wife is about having her picture taken she would go down range with me holding a rifle before she would with me hold a camera.

Put up a fresh target this morning. Thought I might do well until I shot a genuine 'no doubter' 8 on the 2nd row. Ran to my gun safe and sure enough the cylinder of Lastombstone's Mojo was mysteriously empty. But now we know why steelshooter's umbrella is blue; it has Lastombstone's Mojo

I'm blaming my target this morning on it being Friday the 13th. Well at least they all stayed in my 3.5 ft. x 6 ft. bullet trap.

steel, You have some pretty trees around your shooting table. Looks like you wouldn't have to go far to find a place to squirrel hunt! It is so nice to be able to shoot in my backyard woods. If I had to drive 10 miles to the public range and set up next to a tactifool dumping 30 round mags as fast as he can jerk the trigger, I would probably quit shooting rimfire outside of squirrel hunting. I'm not sure anyone could pay me enough to get me to move back into the city.

We moved here 49 years ago when there was only one other house on the mile long road we live on. It has developed more and more over the years. I had a 50yd range but they built a house almost on my property line that is dead down range on my old range. I set up a 25yd range so I could shoot these matches. I may not die in this house but it will still be my mailing address.

Squirrel........ that is my biggest fear, that I will have to give up what I have here because I can't take care of it any more and go to some type of apartment or condo type of setting with a bunch of folks all around and not be able to get outside and do anything that I consider enjoyable any more. The time is coming, I know, and that is why I don't really get upset over times like the other night that I talked about.

May God have mercy on us and also save us from having to live (or die) someplace where we cannot shoot a .22 rimfire. I can shoot 50 yards here, but now due to a fully leafed out hickory limb that I cannot reach, I had to move my target over a bit,so it is only 48 yards. But still good enough to confirm my squirrel zero before I hunt.

With your shooting skills it should be no problem to trim that limb back. I'm sure you could do it with less than a brick.

That's what I did last year, but this year after two back surgeries, the stupid limb got so big that I would need a shotgun to trim it back.

Taterchip........ at the rate I'm going right now 245 would be joy. RD and I shot this morning and neither of us came close to that. I've scratched 3 targets so far on 2 different rifles. Maybe I"ll find one that works before I run out of targets.
