On this day in 1940.American Bantam Car Company rolled out the first BRC "jeep"in Butler Pa.Two days later it was delivered(driven) to Camp Holabird Md.for the US.Army to test.A total of 2675 were made.

Sophia, while that is a revised pic of the first jeeps. It is not a pic of the original Bantam prototype.Original was more rounded and had "bug-eye"headlights.If I was more computer savvy I would post a link to the photo.
