Local Cabellas had this in the used case, at a very good price. Gen 3 G17. Waddaya think of my new nightstand gun? Looks unused to me.

IMO, the G17 is the standard by which all modern combat pistols are judged.

FWIW, for several years now, my nightstand pistol has been a Gen 3 G17 with Streamlight TLR-1 attached and loaded with 147gr +P HSTs (LE load, BTW) and a couple spare mags.

Nice acquisition Toomany22s, I hope you never need to use it for its purpose. Glocks reputation for dependability is second to none, many people consider them 'forever guns'. I hope you shoot it well.

Glock 17 Gen 1, 80,000+ rounds and still ticking...you did good.

Had a MMC adjustable rear sight on it for years, recently had a "free" set of Glock factory tritiums installed, Glock days at the LGS this weekend, I'll have them give it the once over. Still has three 17 round mags of 147 Black Talon with it. Never had a non-ammunition related failure with it.

Well for 367.00 out the door , I canít complain. The new ones were $600.00 but I only got one mag, and no box/ case. But I do have a 30 round mag, found it in my front yard. Hey I live in a diverse community

Took it apart, easy peasy , not dirty, no wear spots, And a decent trigger imho. Points a little high, but Iím a center of mass guy, so no problem. Next step is the range.

You might call this guy for some extra mags. I've bought a fair amount of stuff from him and he's pretty good to deal with.

That is a great price Toomany22s, for an excellent weapon. I always wanted a Glock 18 for my night table but have never been able to find one. Looking forward to a range report.

Georgia guy loves Glocks

Toomany, if you are headed down to/thru Atlanta GA, bring your G17 along and you can get a free tuneup at the Glock "factory" in Smyrna, GA....northwest metro ATL. You bring the gun in, they check you in, you go eat lunch at the ChikFilA down on the corner and after lunch you go back to Glock and pick up your pistol with any new parts needed, test fired, and good to go FOR FREE.

I took a buddy's 17 in and they replaced everything except the frame, barrel and slide, swapped 2 mags, everything for free. This was a 20 year old gun that was crusty, not shot often, and it was like brand new. I took 2 of my Glocks in at the same time, had night sights installed on one, they went thru all 3 guns in about an hour and 15 minutes. I did have to pay for the night sights but it was about $55, installed, which I thought was very fair.

I always look for "junker" Glocks at pawn shops because I know I can take them to Glock and get a good functioning pistol in return.
