Yes.. bought a Nylon 10C off GunBroker..
She looked kinda rough in the pictures..
Missing charge handle.
Sent the seller a message if it would fire.
They said they didn't know.
Asked if the stock was ok.. no cracks or splits.
They replies,.. I think so ?.......... Well anyway, I won it pretty cheep.
Once it was home..
Pried out the stubb of the old charge handle.
Putt in the new charger handle..
Wouldn't cock.. striker wouldn't go all the way back.
Pulled barrel..and slid out the bolt.
Squeeze trigger.. and push down the sear.
She slid back, like she's supposed to.
Cleaned with gunscrubber..(pretty dirty)..
Bore snakes the barrel ( very nice and Brite)..
Ok... Let's try her out..
Came with a ten rounds magazine.. it
Snapped into the magazine well ok..
But need to raise it up a bits.
Doesn't want to pick up a round.
Went and dug up one of my old/new ten rounders .. Shazam!! Now we'er cooking with peanut oil !! Stepped out front door..
Fired 8 rounds perfectly.😄
So I think I dids ok..
Here's a pic of my 10c.

Yep.. like you..
I was wanting a 77.... With the green k-Mart stock..
Then this 10c caught my eye... I'll be fine with this one.
Happy the stock was ok..
still detail cleaning it up..
... The 77 and 10c are the same rifle..
Just different markings on the pistol grip.
I can live with that.
I'm still digging crud out of her.
And!? She was shooting good!

Good luck with yourhunt for a 77 !!

Just for clarification, in case someone who doesn't understand the difference, the Nylon 77 was made from 1970-72 with 15K produced. This one came with a 5 round magazine. Later in 1972 and running through 1978 the Mohawk 10c was produced to the tune of 128K. The only difference there was that it came with the 10 round magazine. In 1987 - 1989 the Apache 77 was made for K-mart with the green stock and flat metal. About 54K of these were produced. All 3 are easily identified by the writing on the grip cap.

Thank you.
..................
I've been shooting the 10c most of the day.
After more inspection..
It really is a simple rifle. I'm tickled I have two magazine's (clips) that work great.
One ten rounder and a five rounder.
Sure did help cleaning out the bolt grooves in the stock.
She'll fire as fast as you can squeeze the trigger.
Reliability is excellent.
I will keep my eye out for more of these sweet little Rifles.
EVERY one, needs one of these.

Glad she runs good for you Buckweet. And you are right. Everyone need one, or two, or five. The more they get the more the one's we have will be worth eventually. I just never understood why some folks always down talk the Nylons but I guess some folks do the same thing about chocolate ice cream.

chocolate ice cream??!!

I can't stand the stuff, looks like you are eating dog poo. Nothing but strawberry or butter pecan for me. Anybody that would eat chocolate ice cream probably shoots Rem Thunderbolts in his Lorcin or Jennings pistols. Un-American I tell you.

very few....

.understand buckweet. He's a "unique" guy, stuck in the backwoods of MO, whose backyard range consists of a pile of gravel. And when he shoots into it, says to himself, "bullseye, that's exactly the pebble I was aiming for". Sad, really, 2 eagle feathers and a sparrow feather. So alone.

They are just jealous. Like you I've got my own range. I can shoot anything I've got off my front porch, in any direction except back toward the house.
Just roll with it.

When I called Remington last week to confirm the build date on my early 552, I asked for an owners manual for the 66 and 552.
This list was in the 66 owners manual:

Yes.. very Happy to have my very own open range..
One of my neighbors passed away..
The house burned down..
The other neighbor is from California..
They are moving..
They don't like to hear me shooting my 66s all the time.
So... Sadly, I'll have no neighbors..(NOT)....
😂😂😂
