Yes, it was you who told me about that tang thing when you 1st introduced the wonderful TM stocks, then Mr. TM himself made a confirmation of it, Mr. Brad..

Now, to assuage those wanting a rear tang , Tony Mele can make his stocks with or without it at no extra expense.

Personally, if I had a KIDD receiver I would make sure my TM stock has a tang provision, although I really believe it is an overkill judging by the way the aforesaid stocks fit.

Joe's rifles will shoot great without a tuner. But a tuner does make them shoot better. The same goes for 20" Kidd or GM barrels. Now I don't know about shorter barrels with a tuner. They say too short of barrel will be hard to tune with a tuner.

If you would take the time to look back in time and read, you would find that the builds that I have created still hold second place in the 50 and 100 yard Ultimate shooting games.

Leader boards that I notice GH41 & Bigbores’ names are conspicuously absent from.
So, until either one of you guys proves to me that you can actually build a sub MOA rifle, you’re free to criticize all you want. Words are wind without results to back your claims.

Bigbore, all you have proven to me is that you figured out at least one way NOT to do it. Bravo.

We are all entitled to opinions- I’m more interested in reading content from people who have actually accomplished something notable in building these rifles, and actually figured out how to do it right, and can prove it with results.

My results support my position.

Doc,

I don't have a personal issue with you, you seem like a good guy. I know you are a moderator and I'm certain there is a lot I can learn from you, nowhere in my posts do I imply I know it all. I think that bedding work you posted was outstanding.

I have 0 interest in BR which should help explain why I don't participate on that forum although I have read through some of the threads of interest and other threads have been returned when searching. I have always maintained I am not a good shooter although I do enjoy the sport tremendously and it dovetails nicely with my other hobbies. Notice I'm not over there running my mouth so to speak, I'm certain I would be "out of my lane" as the kids say.

Recall this, at the beginning of the thread, I simply replied that I had actually experimented with the tang and recorded my results, the next thing I saw was you coming in with your guns blazing. Doc, put 4 tangs on your guns, encase them in reinforced concrete, I don't care. Seems the more you get pressed to make your case with any degree of precision, the further you drift away from the topic. Trying to shame my gun's performance when I was only showing my results doesn't show you in a good light and most importantly is not germane to the discussion. Had I shot a 4" group, installed the tang and shrunk it to 2 inches, group size would have never come up because you would have felt vindicated.

Put the shovel down Doc.

Yes I don't think a gun Joe builds with a Kidd rear tang receiver will out shoot the one I have. That I can't prove. But I can't see mine shooting any better.

I had Lee on here run a On Target program on this 10 shot group with SK Pistol Match. He got .212ctc. I would bet it can do better. But that is smokin for a 10/22 action gun regardless of how souped up it is.

The "best" grade of aluminum, of course
I was just poking fun at the issues.

I suggest we all buy what we like, be happy and remember that the real enemy is not our fellow honest shooters, but the dishonest politicians who are trying to hide their long term gun confiscation plans as “common sense gun control ”.

As far as receivers go, I try to use steel or stainless steel if possible.

I’ve never used one but they sure look nice. The price goes with the quality.

Here's my Kidd Supergrade in a TM stock with the rear tang.

Thank you. That one is my baby. No it's not threaded.

Kidd 20" .920 barrel
Receiver
Scalloped bolt & charging handle
2 stage 3oz/3oz trigger
TM Nighthawk stock w/ rear tang
Burris Signature Zee rings
Weaver T-36
Buffer, V-block, TD screw, & threaded receiver pins.

Basically a Kidd Supergrade, just one I put together myself. And yes it shoots incredible.
