Triangle patches

Anyone ever used the BoreSmith triangle .22-.27 flannel cleaning patches? Ain't never heard of a triangle patch..

Geez I don't think 3 pointed patches would work well. Most bores have a even number of lands and grooves. A square patch has a even number of points. So when you pull them thru they evenly engage in the grooves for even cleaning and a smooth pull. I think a triangle would pull more on one side than the other like a wedge. Follow me? But maybe it would work. Kinda like the old saying " You can't pull a square patch through a round bore". But you can.

Sounds like a way to get two patches out of pretty much the same cloth.

So fancy... My patches are sort of miscellaneous blobby shape when I cut them out of an old Tee-shirt with my pocket knife.

They seem to work fine.

I use the Triangle patch for my Victory. Works good for 22 caliber with 22 caliber rod. No need to use a smaller diameter rod. I like them.
