It looks to be a Model 12 that has been restocked, and fitted with Redfield sights.

It' a customized Model 12/15 with aftermarket stocks and Redfield International sights. Probably a very good shooter, or at least someone thought it would be to put that effort and expense into it.

Always a treat to see a pristine, case-coloured breech block (or lever)!

If you do decide to sell this rifle, please list in in the TPC (it's easy and free) and not here as ads are no longer allowed in the discussion forums.https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/vbclassified.php

The real selling price (or value) is somewhere in between.

A fully outfitted International can be had for less than that asking price, but a basic 12/15 goes for at least $450 these days.

Gentleman,
I want to thank all of you who gave me positive input in determining the details about the Martini I acquired. The details allowed me to gauge a range value for this marvelous shooter. Therefore it was prudent as the seller to list the top of the range calculated. Thanks again for all of your contributions of knowledge. I will entertain offers and accept when the buyer and I feel good about the number.
Respectfully,
Dwight

I completely agree. I recently sold a fully outfitted left handed MK II for $1000. I might have offered as much as $500 for this 12/15 but that is about it. Asking more than a MK II International is worth for a 12/15 is a pretty bold move. I am not saying there is no one out there willing to pay that much but I know I could buy a better Martini for less.

I did appreciate the seller's willingness to post such fine photographs. I do agree with him, this would suit a small-bore shooter well. i have enjoyed my LIGHTER Martini's recently.

Discussion of postwar production in this article 1Bigoak. Guessing yours is vintage 1947-48.

I think you've priced it fairly at $850 in the TP.

Frank
