A 10-22 magazine will hang out a little when used in a 77/22 or 96/22.

Thanks I have a few 77/22s but no 10/22s at this time,so I couldn't compare!

I think that I got the last 77/22 at $389 last night. It is on the way to me.

I missed out, pondered too long.
Just shot my 'new/used' Win 75 and Rem 580 in a Silohette match last Sunday. Was thinking the 77/22 might be a good addition. Looked and they've been removed from CDNN's website, nothing on Rugers site under that model number. Discontinued??

Got my scope yesterday, Bushnell Rimfire 3-12. Mounted it with the Ruger furnished rings and the handle hits it ever so slightly when opening the bolt. Thought about just living with it but my anal retentiveness kicked in
It's a nice scope and I wanted the 12 power for shooting silhouette so now I'm looking for new rings.
I've noticed that the Leupold/ Redfield rings are quite a bit cheaper than the Ruger rings. Any experience with these rings?
Soon.........

More accolades for Ruger. They're sending the next size rings for free!

Free high rings for me, too. I mounted a Leupold 4x12 40mm AO at $305 from Ebay. Ruger CS is incredible. This new 77/22 shoots very well with CCI SV. I have no complaints and am very pleased.

I don't want to mention any names but someone took their new rifle to the range on Saturday but left the bolt at home
Finally shot about 50 rounds last night. Remington Golden Bullets. 3" group at 50 yards. Hopefully things get better.

Get rid of the GB's, get some CCI SV, MiniMags, or Wolf and you'll get rid of the fliers

50yds should be under an inch

Send a message via Yahoo to PEASHOOTER67
Get rid of the bulk ammo and your groups will tighten up.

My new Ruger 77/22 shoots half inch 5 shot 50 yard groups with CCI SV and Tac 22. Not always but it does when the bench and I are not wiggling. I mounted a Leupold 4x12 AO scope.

I don't bother shooting HV ammo anymore, except at prarie dogs. SV (under 1100 fps, at least 1050 fps) is always more accurate.

Well I wasn't able to buy one of those at that price either, but I did the next best thing. I ended up buying a older all weather barreled action for just a tad under that. It should be here by the weekend. I had a couple of factory walnut stocks lying around, one in particular with nice figure that had been waiting for such a match. Already have the bottom metal here, so it's just a matter of time.

I would suggest SK Rifle Match or Wolf Rifle Match, both have performed better than anything else minus Eley Match. I will admit to not having shot the more expensive stuff from Federal or RWS, but everything I have shot just about.

I always start with Golden Bullets just in case the rifle is one of those mythical shooters that likes them. (Actually have a Marlin 39A that does well with them)
Much better today. Tried CCI Std. Velocity, Eley Club, Federal Automatch and Federal HV Target. Eley Club was the best, minus fliers I had a couple groups close to an inch. Think I'm going to keep her!
I'm blaming those fliers on the 4.5 lb. trigger pull because it couldn't be me. Probably order a Volquartsen sear to eliminate that excuse.
