Thanks!
I do like the BF. Mine was re-barreled by Ralph Bond and he may have worked on the trigger. It was originally built for another silhouette shooter and I got it back in 2005. Very accurate, the trigger is crisp and fairly light, maybe about 10 ounces? Never measured it. Here's some Eley Standard shot at the .22 swingers one day at 50-75 and 100 yards (I don't test rimfire ammo or practice at 25 yards), with iron sights, creedmore.
The BF is known for having a weak extractor, so you wouldn't want to really push any load in a centerfire one. Mine, I don't know about others, also has a very light firing pin indent on the rimfire cases. Some types of ammo may get misfires, but this one has been totally misfire-free with Eley and RWS ammo.
When hand-feeding the rounds you have a rather large gap between the rear of the frame rails and the rim of the chamber, the space needed for the falling block and trigger, which can make it a little slower to load for subsequent shots. With a scope mounted, there wouldn't be a lot of room there.
You can see how much the distance is by looking at the top of the frame rail, the lower section next to the block and hammer.
There is a tool, which is spring loaded and about 10" long, that will hold 5 rimfire rounds, that makes it super easy to load the chamber...the same tool that was made for the MOA falling block pistol.
No, sorry, I have visited that site on occasion, but am not a member.
P.S. More to add to this, working on it now.
