Yes, with a short mag it is very light and fun out to 50 yards. I use it in brushy conditions, and at night. 50+ yards I prefer my cz457.

I have the Kryptic camo 15-22, 10 round mags and a CMC trigger and bouncing between a Bushnell 3x9x40 and a Bushnell Trophy red dot.

Two years ago I bought a Sight Mark Photon 4x NV and have thought of mounting it on the 15-22. Its currently on my RAR 22 Mag

How accurate is your Laser ? And is that a Suppressor or barrel shroud ?

I guess not many use the 15-22 as a hunting Rifle.

I used to use mine to take out nuisance squirrels around the house. With a c-more reddot it makes 15 to 20 yard shots almost automatic, even when the fuzzy tailed rats are on the run. Though nowadays most of the time I use an air rifle so I don't have to be concerned with shooting up into the trees and having the bullet go towards one of the neighbors' farms.

I have an integeraly ported and suppressed barrel, so all my federal black box bulk 22 comes out subsonic. It truly makes this an amazing gun.

The laser works fantastic for short range shots. I have it set for 25 yards, and the Leopold 2-7 scope is dialed in to 50 yards. No issue with the laser moving around once I got the mounts tight enough.

I get right about 1.5 MOA from it. Not good enough for rats at 100yards, but it is truly an amazingly fun gun to shoot. It does great on bunnies in the sage brush. Oh and I dropped a Binary trigger in there too for added giggles. Every gun gets better with a fun switch.

I'm slowly building my 15 22 PC. Just mounted a 6x18 Vortex yesterday. This week, I'll order my Battle Arms Ambi- Safety and Narly Gorilla Latch Handle. I have a Tacticalgunparts pair of take-down pins on the way too. Bought Wife a 15 22 Sport some time ago and after getting it set-up,I 'had to have' one for myself! My 15 22 will take over "squirrel duties" from my CZ American this year!

I hadn't thought about rabbit hunting, but the MP-22-15 would be a lot of fun. If I were in good cottontail country, I might budget to get one. Get them on the run.

But my Browning ATD has been my bunny/squirrel gun for 59 years and it might get a real case of jealousy. I guess I will just stick with my ATD. I hunted bunnies and squirrels in Iowa and Missouri sitting still or on the run didn't matter. Not that good anymore, I have to wait for them to stop or slow waaaaaqyyyyy down.

Now if I were out in the wide open spaces of the west where jack rabbits run all over, I would definitely be using my Colt M-4 for the long ears. That would be fun! I would like to try it out on prairie dogs too.

Why yes, I do use mine for hunting. Should get even more use now that I just picked up an other 10 round mag. Short mag makes it so much handier in the field.

Good to know about the pouches.

I originally bought mine as a dedicated trainer for the AR platform -556 and 308. Scoped it and added a sling. Found out it is good as a squirrel small game firearm also. Nice versatile platform.

When hunting I usually have on a hunting vest.
