I got both the forearm and stock from Gunstock Inc, you can buy the set or pieces. The forearm was a bit longer but I didn't like the screw hole that they drilled, so I cut it off and beveled the end on my belt sander.

Gunstock Inc

They were great. I sent a bunch of emails and all my questions were answered before I committed. The pieces were a little oversize and needed fitting. And there was some machining marks. I used a orbital sanded to remove the marks and a pipe and sandpaper to enlarge then barrel channel. Finished it with a little Watco oil. When it dried I used a buffing wheel.

Please forgive but your magnificant pictures of your cherished martinis reminded me of something. And it is about martini's. When I got out of the navy in 1967 a local gun shop had a cased set of martini's. One was a 303 British and the second was a 577/450. Both were truly beautiful. I put a $100 downpayment on the set. Total for the set was $1000. Case had some label in it about a gunmaker who had did the set. Each month another $100 went towards the purchase price. I was making about $2 an hour shoveling coal at a power plant. Overtime was available but you can only burn the candle at both ends for only so long. Next time I came in the dealer told me that someone else was interested in the set. He the dealer would get his money in one shot instead of payments spread out over ten months. Well long story short, I got my money back as I needed it for something else. But whoever got that set got well his monies worth. Used the money to buy a pre '64 model 70 in 30-06. Frank

He should be pleased, he won an Olympic Gold Medal! How many can say that?

My lonely little Model 12 I think. Can't tell you much about it, except it's mine.

I got my first "real" Martini ( I've had a few Ithaca Model 49's over the years) today - a BSA Model 12 Takedown .22LR - from a NH gunshow.

These are the "before" pics (before I've even cleaned it up, nevermind restored it)

The "after" pics will have to wait until I get a roundtoit.
