Can someone please convert those darn photobucket pictures to something we can see without having to pay a ransom to photobucket to get access to stuff?

Yes, I will work on it.

I am truly disappointed with Photobucket and have not been able to find another decent hosting site. I will attempt a direct upload.

Ok, I was able to directly upload the matrix charts so they are visible again on the first page but do not have the upload capacity for all of the rest of the drawings. I will keep trying.

Winchester marked magazine

I have a NOS Winchester Model 52B magazine that is a 5 round LR, 3 rib magazine with Winchester but no trademark stamped on the floor plate and the follower is angled. This is different than anything listed in the OP. Any thoughts on this mag? JWA, this is probably an addition to what you have seen.

The magazine case was changed from 2-rib to 3-rib after the 52C was introduced. All of the original 52B's should have a 2-rib magazine. What makes you think it was specifically for the 52B?

Are you sure it is not from one of the new reproduction 52's?

Can you post a picture of the floor plate and the follower? Thanks!

I don't have access to a picture hosting site.

This magazine is in the original clear plastic envelope.

The card board piece inside reads:

Winchester
Rifles and Shotguns

MODEL 52B MAGAZINE

Fits Winchester Model
52B 22 bold action rifle
Capacity is 5 rounds of
.22 Long Rifle

(Also fits Browning Model 52 rifle).

It is a 3 rib with angled follower and a Winchester logo stamped on the base but nothing else.

That sounds like a magazine for the reproduction Model 52B Sporter made by Miroku and is not an original pre-64 magazine.

I know this is an older thread but ran across the patent drawing for the insert to adapt the long rifle magazine to short. The patent states..."invention relates to an improved box- 7 magazine for firearms, the object being to produce a simple, compact, convenient and reliable box-magazine constructed with particular reference to being initially assembled by the inclusion or removal of secondary interchangeable features, either for long or short cartridges of the same caliber."
