Folks,

I just bought a TOZ-8 and was wondering if anyone has some history on these rifles? Accuracy? Anyone else have one?

Toz-8

AOM,

Your links are very helpful, thanks!

This rifle is suppose to be dated 1936. I should get it next week sometime. I'll post pics when I get it.

got the TOZ rifle >>PICS ADDED<<

Got my rifle, and have it all cleaned up and oiled. I found a faint date stamp of 1935, along with a "T" in triangles on top of barrel just ahead of receiver. Tula arsenal? The "3" in the date is hard to see in the close-up, but its dated 1935.

I'll get some pics up after Church today. Maybe others who know more about this rifle will weigh in.

PICS ADDED:

Where was the stamp marking, also if you look at this thread https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...d.php?t=288205 there is a table that shows a connection with the letter at the start of the serial number, is this a match with the date stamp?

I'll second that! My TOZ-17 likes them a lot, very close in ballistics to Russian 22LR fodder with more consistency.
