1911 Style Target Frame Safety

I own three 1911 Target Frames that I juggle an assortment of uppers with. The oldest is about 5 years old and is starting to have a sensitive safety. Engaging the saftey is becoming easier to do so much that it becomes accidentally becomes engaged without much pressure. It still is the same as always for disengaging the safety. Just wondering if anyone has shared the same experience and which direction you went to fix it.

It comes down to that detent under spring pressure riding up out of one groove over a ridge and dropping into another groove. Maybe the steepness of the upswing groove has worn in a little over time. Its a steel detent riding on an aluminum frame, so I guess it could be possible. Maybe a higher tensioned spring on the detent? Hard to say for me.

Check to make sure the plunger tube hasn't come loose. It's under the grip panel so the problem may not be apparent until the panel is removed.
