Cool My New Remington 597 in AA597R Tactical Stock

Wow! I haven't bee on here for months, since last year even!

I recently sold my Ruger 10/22 and my slightly damaged Pietta 1873 single action army (.22lr 10 shot). I got $400 Canadian, profit from it.

I sold the revolver because I barely used it, so it wasn't worth fixing it.

I sold the Ruger 10/22 because the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RMCP) decided that since the charger pistol can use the same magazine, all Ruger 10/22 magazines are limited to 10 round max, as that is the limit for handguns. Stupid, but unfortunately a reality here.

I went on the search for a good semi-auto 22lr, which comes looking like an AR-15 ish gun, or can be made to look like one with an aftermarket stock.

I was considering guns like the M&P 15 22, and the Chiappa mfour, but those are both classified as restricted here, and therefore 10 rounds per mag max too.

I wanted something with no mag restrictions that has large capacity mags available for it.

I ended up buying a Remington 597, in the AA597R Archangel aftermarket stock, brand new from a store which offers free shipping for orders over $200, which with the $429.99 rifle, and the $94.99 red dot I bought, was most definitely over $200.

I also just recently got in two 30 round magazines for it. Pro Mag also makes a 70 round drum mag for it, but it costs $159 here, I got the two 30 round mags for a total of being able to hold 60 rounds, for around $100 less.

I am very happy with it, the stock is very sturdy, honestly, to break it, you'd have to be purposely trying to break it.

Here are some gun porn photos I took of it.

And a bayonet too! Looks like you have it all Twiggy. Here's hoping it shoots like the 597's accuracy we are used to.
If we were serious about saving lives, our vehicles would have breathalyzers tied into ignition kill switches.

Would a permanently attached bayonet "muzzle device" count in meeting the 16" barrel requirement?
