I've bought mine from Quality Targets. They have held up perfectly. Great people, too!

Most all of mine are for silhouette, so they are shaped like the various animals. I have the full size, half-size, 3/8th scale and 1/5th scale. You can use any of these at whatever distances you want.

The best way to generate interest? Simple, pick a size they can hit. Nothing generates more excitement to new shooters than success.

I would recommend 1/2 scale animals as used in NRA smallbore lever action silhouette matches. They are big enough that they are relatively easy to hit with iron sights at the regulation distances of 40 to 100 meters.

I got my then 8 year old grandaughter interested in having a row of different animal swingers and shooting off a table, on our Silhouette range. We have different swingers in our Silhouette shed. She was using a Savage Youth rifle w an old Simons 6-18X44, AO target dot. I placed the swingers out about 30 yards.

Soon it was placing the pigs on the chicken stands....etc. We also have box of different size animals on our SB Silhouette range to use as targets at the various target stands. This covered box with sand bags and metal animals, can be used by any of our members. Our Silhouette range is pretty popular for general plinkers and beginner shooters. .22 SV or HV ammo only.

I put up swingers. It keeps me from having to run down and reset the targets. DR
