I'm not worried about it. I got a brand new single 10 for an outstanding price.

Just wanted to say that I ended up using a 30-30 casing to make the scraping tool. It works very well, wish I would have stumbled upon this idea many years ago. Thanks again for the tip.

I've been shooting my Single-Ten a lot. So much that it is pointless to clean after each outing. The action is very smooth, I guess the polishing I did helped a bit. That and the reduced power hammer spring.

Today I put another 150 through it. It is real pleasure to shoot. Can sure go through a lot of rounds with this one.

I noticed the ejector spring is much stiffer than it needs to be. The next thing I may do is reduce the power of that spring by clipping a few coils. Has anyone here done that to theirs?

The ejector spring in mine feels exactly the same as the ejector spring in my 4 5/8" New Vaquero .357. I put my trigger scale on it, and they both read pretty much the same, gradually going up to about 3.5# right before bottoming out.

Now that I have run few thousand rounds through my single 10, the ejector spring seems less stiff. I'm glad I didn't cut a few coils off of it.

I too own one of these gems. Had my gunsmith smooth the action and reduce the trigger pull to just under 2 lbs. Off of a rest with a red dot I can usually shoot 1 inch groups at 20 yards with CCI SV. Love this revolver. Still, if Ruger would offer it with a 6-1/2 to 7-1/2 barrel, I would buy one immediately.
