Nice Single Ten! I love stainless steel, and in a perfect world scenario, I would love to own an old Single Six 3-screw in stainless, but that's not going to happen.

I make my own scrapers by flattening cartridge cases and filing the ends to the shapes I need. 30-06 size gives me enough "handle" to hang on to it, and there's more than enough material to shape it to your needs. Try it with scavenged or damaged brass, you've got nothing to lose.

That's an excellent idea, I'll give it a try! Thanks for telling us about it.

200 more rounds down range this afternoon. Shooting this revolver is a lot of fun.

Nice revolver. Looks like you added the fire sights. I did the same to my Single Six and love the high visibility of them. They sure helped my older eyes shoot a whole lot better too.

Single Ten (and Single Nine) come from the factory with Fiber Optic sights.

Maybe so. But, I don't believe the one pictured in the box had fire sights. At least not the fire sights I've seen come on other Ruger's.

You are right, I hadn't noticed the pic of the gun I bought didn't have the Firesights installed.

Yeah, good eye. I'm going to ask the previous owner if he still has those sites. Maybe I can buy them from him.

Very nice revolver.

For old west originality, blued firearms are correct . For usage, I prefer stainless steel. I really like it.

I'd be surprised if he didn't just give the original sights to you.

Oh, that was pretty sneaky - if he didn't disclose it prior to the sale. Caveat Emptor.
