Single Six Scope Mount

Does anyone know if there is a scope mount on the market that will fit an Old Model Single Six? I got a 10" Single Six from my grandfather and would like to scope it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I just did a search on this subject and found some info that was very good. My question still is whether these mounts will fit the old Single Six. I have seen in some posts, or somewhere, that some of these mounts only fit the new models. I have fixed sights on mine so there are not screw holes that some of the mounts talk about. Any additional info would be nice. Thanks in advance.

I have a new style Single Six and all the scope mounts I have ever looked at used the exisiting screw hole for the rear sight as one of the attachment points. So , without the screw hole I don't believe you will be able to use any mount designed for the Single Six equipped with sights.

As was said , I don't think you will find on that doesn't need the rear sight screw hole to work.

I would give Weigand a phone call. He may have one that would fit if you had someone drill and tap for it. Or he may have a solution for you. https://www.jackweigand.com/index.html

You caught it!

This was the first thread posted in this forum.

However, the topic is still a good one.
