I'm a bit late to this thread . . . but I wish I had my T/C Contender with a 10" bull barrel in 22 WMR also the 10" bull barrel in 22 LR Match. I sold my entire collection of (3) T/C's frames & (15) barrels as I needed the money a the time.

I admit to getting rid of a CZ 452 Lux in 22 WMR but had problems getting any scope to mount properly. I feel it had a problem with the dovetail and should have worked with CZ Support. Put the iron sights back on and sold it . . . However, I have (3) other CZ 455 & 512 in 22 WMR's. :bthumb:
I had a Marlin 1894M. I didn’t really like the way it shot because it wasn’t very accurate. I only wish I had it because it’s worth more know. I hated safety on it.
I regret buying a 22 magnum back when they were cheapish
I regret not buying a Winchester 94/22 Trapper! One in magnum would have been great to own but in the late 90s, the $450 seemed steep. Now it seems that would be Cheap!
About 15 years ago, I was out of town for work, in a small town in the South West part of the state. I had some down time between meetings and I stopped into a small pawn shop to kill some time. The shops prices seemed high to me and I didn't see anything that caught my eye.
I was wandering towards the door, when a young man 20s, came in and said he wanted to sell his .22 magnum rifle, a Marlin 882 Stainless. He said he needed $100 and was willing to sell the gun for that. The shop owner was a snotty with him and offered him $50/ The guy left the shop and I followed him out. He said he was hurting for money and really needed $100. I asked him about the gun and he told me his dad had bought it for him and he didn't shoot it any more and he just needed to sell it. He had a box, cheap case, cheap scope, 2 mags and a box and a 1/2 of ammo. I suggested that he would likely get more if he was willing to wait and sell it at a show or through the news paper. He said he was in need now and he didn't have a connection to the rifle so he wanted to sell it now.
I gave him the $$ and drove to the police department and checked that the kid was on the up and up. Officer told me the Kid was OK but he and Dad were on the outs and that he was just as glad that the kid no longer owned a rifle.
I kept it for a year or two and it was a solid shooter, but I found something else I wanted and sold it at a gunshow. I have always regretted selling it...it was a decent rifle and I should have kept it.
The 22 mag I sold, that I shouldn't have was a Stevens Favorite 30M. I called it Mikey, it would eat anything and put it on target. A friend wanted a 22 Mag and in a weak moment I sold it. I have a Winchester 1885 22 Mag now, accurate as can be with the right ammo, a little fussy compared to Mikey.

Of all the guns I've owned in my lifetime the one I most regret selling was my Ruger 77/22 VBZ in 22 mag. Did some bedding work and put a different trigger spring in. I didn't do much paper punching with it but pretty much any critter I wanted to shoot inside 100 yards or so was in serious trouble.
Nice coincidence here, looking at the last post in this thread. I sold my Brno 611 about ten years ago. Within a year I missed it. A couple years later, the guy I sold it to had sold it to a friend of his, and he let me know that buyer was looking to sell it. The asking price was $400, and I took advantage of it (took advantage of the seller, as well). Hadn't been used much, still great shape.
I had a Ruger 77/22WMR that I regretted selling. It was probably close to the most accurate 22 WMR I have owned [up to the present one] But.....it wanted
to be clean. Accuracy started to drop off after 50-60 rounds, and cleaning was necessary to bring back the accuracy. Nuisance in a big gopher patch on any given day.
About 2 years ago, I lucked onto a real good one. An Anschutz M1522 [54 action]
sporter weight 22 WMR. Double set triggers and very nice wood.
It shoots very well with ammo that is at least reasonably consistent [hard to find in 22 WMR] Interestingly, I have a lot number of silver box Winchester 40 grain HP that will shoot 3/4 moa. It also shoots the Remington 33 grain Accutip well, but to a different point of impact.
So, I am happy with this WMR. Do not see selling it in the forseeable future. Dave.
About 1974 I bought a dead mint 9422M without checkering used at a sporting goods store for $100. Used it a little for a couple years, then moved to Mississippi where I could shoot out in my backyard in the country. When I shot tin cans, the cans would not even move. So I thought, I just need a regular .22. Put an ad in the local paper, and sold the rifle, still mint, to a young guy. For $100. I could tell by the way he grabbed for his wallet that he thought he was getting a great deal. I went and bought a 10-22. Dumb me. I'll bet that kid still has that rifle.
I have a lot of guns and haven't sold many over the years. The one that I regret to this day was a 218 Bee built on a Win Lo-wall action by a gunsmith named John Dewey, in up state NY. I bought it in 1964 for $65.00 and sold it in 1974 for $150.00. I was in the service and needed money. What a mistake!
I inherited a mint 9422M XTR from my late father. A Battle Of The Bulge (AA gunner) vet who owned many guns in his lifetime, he would never have sold that little lever-action Mag...and neither will I!
I owned a mid level Krico .22 Magnum that was a beautiful rifle with such a smooth action.
Just a quality unit in every aspect.
Being a bit inexperienced I had an issue with accuracy that later turned our to be poor quality mounts but also 40 years ago the choice here in Australia for a variety of ammunition was inexistent. Winchester 40g HP from memory.
Sold a Ruger single six stainless convertible a while back. Should have kept that one.
Thats the only 22mag ive ever let go of.
