I have a walnut forend for a Ithaca shotgun model 37. It was given to me about 40 years ago and has been in storage since. It appears to be new old stock. I believe they call it a "rat tail" because it has the grooves around it. It is about 6" long with the center hole almost 1" &1/16" so I am thinking it is for a 12 gauge? Not sure how to post pictures on here but can send a private email to anyone who would like this item. We are getting ready to move so I am downsizing. Thanks, DoneDeere
Ok, the forend has been spoken for. Yes it is strange to find one that old yet appears to be new. As mentioned, it has been in my stuff box for many years. Thanks everyone.
A great shotgun. Mine is a 1941 vintage, it will slam fire.
