Question Question

Why isn't CCI/SV (at $7.69 / 100 from Midway) on this list ?

It is Richard.

Look at the last sentence on the intro paragraph above. Joe addresses it.

Could you also add CCI MiniMags ($5.29-$6.47/100), and CCI SV 50 round paper boxes ($24.99/500) to the list.

Buchheit's Farm stores for CCI Mini Mags at $5.29, and Wal-Mart at $6.47.
Dick's sporting goods has CCI SV bricks for $24.99.

Well . . .

I guess we missed those 100 count prices.

I will add them to the list.

Merry Christmas all..!!

Just wondering about these Aguila Rifle Match

and these Aguila Target

Would these be okay to shoot in the 10 bull matches ? Either one costs less than CCI/SV - just pennies over $30.00/brick (current price @ CTD).

Just for the record, I've been having good fun with some of the SSBA games, shooting for groups.. but have yet to try shooting for exact point (like the x-ring), but it sure looks like something I'd like to have a go at when the weather cooperates a bit here.

Shooting a CZ 452 Special, just got a new Mueller to mount and get dialed in, and hope to get some targets entered in the coming months.

i typically use wolf match target......i have little to no experience with the ammos on the approved list. for newbies to this competition, like myself, can someone recommend the 3 or 4 most accurate (or at least most likely to be accurate) ammos from the approved list? thanks.

Greetings GrantJ - As you probably know, .22 LR rimfire ammo recommendations (for a given rifle) is pretty hit and miss, but generally :

Eley Sport & Remington-Eley Standard Target will be the high water mark (per Joe Haller) and you can throw in CCISV also as a good candidate to try. Just check out some of the matches which show the ammo used for a given rifle and you will get an idea of what the Marksmen are using.

Also, typical starting scores will be in the low to mid 80's, then with practice low to mid 90's will become normal. Any scores in the mid. 90's to 99 are great !!! the elusive '100' is difficult since is combines, equiptment, ammo, technique, mental attitude and conditions to achieve.

See you on the firing line....

I have a cz 453 varmint that i had threaded for a supressor. i am not sure if they had to cut the barrel to do the threading or just threaded around the factory crown. do i need to measure to make sure i am legal for this competition? thanks.

No Federal 711b?

By the way, I don't know about the rest of you, but Eley sport looks like I shot with my shotgun. Horrible stuff.

I request CCI Quiets be added to the list. They are under $3 for 50 at Midway and they are almost all I shoot in my home range.
