That looks like a really nice one. I donít know what you paid but I see people asking crazy prices for RST-4s that look like that have been in the floorboard of a pickup for the last 20 years.

230otd. They had 250 on it, no box, one mag. I run across a lot of the mki, but not the standards. Id like to get an old school leather holster for it.

Wow, that's a very good price, especially for one in good condition. I bought a 1951 model a couple years back, one mag, no box, but an old leather holster. It shoots great. I suggest getting a newer mag for it (10 rounds) and swapping the follower button to the correct side for the RST model. Can't help on holster suggestions, the one that came with mine is old and marked Brauer Bros. Mfg. Co., Moose Brand, St. Louis, model H24. It fits like a glove. I doubt they are in business now but you might find one on eBay.

thanks guy, I've been wanted a short barrel, all my others are longer or bull. They had a used iv for a few weeks I was interested in, but it was almost a new price and then this one showed up.

True for the earlier RSTs with the unmarked (A54) grip frame, but not the later A100 RSTs. Mark II magazines work just fine straight out of the blister pack.

It's also very easy to modify a current production (not original) Mark I magazine to hold 10 rounds:

True that! Around here, very worn and beat up RST-4s still have a $300 price tag. Might be worth it for a nice one like the OP found.

That's funny. Ace Hardware is actually one of the better LGSs in my town. Sometimes I look at the pistols in the display case and see a Standard labeled as a MKI. I point out the incorrect label to the clerk and they say "You're right, but most people don't know the difference".

Nice find. I wouldn't mind adding one just like it to my MKII and MKIII 4.75" standard collection.

It's nice to know they are keeping some value. They had 10in mki a few weeks back they got close to 400 for.

This is another I have that was marked as a mki when I bought it, it needed a lot of love, did a rust blue on it, came out pretty well for my first try.
