Long scope lens cap question(s)

Log in to see fewer ads
Would someone with a Unertl target scope check to see if the lens caps on the left look like they would fit theirs. The caps on the right are off one of my Lyman STS scopes. I have a Unertl scope but it's the Ultra Varmint and the caps are way to small for it. The bluing has been removed from the caps in question and they have a different thread pitch than the Lyman caps. All help will be appreciated. Thanks

Only have cheap Harbor Freight 6" Digital Caliper, so I'm not to sure how close these measurements are: Small cover: Depth= 0.201, Outside Dia.= 0.864, Thread Dia.= 0.813 Large cover: Depth= 0.200, Outside Dia.= 1.522, Thread Dia.= 1.469

They could be for a Unertl (who made several different size scopes) or for a Fecker or Litschert scope, too.

They look similiar to my Unertl but can't be certain. Contact Jack Baker at [email protected] He makes all kinds of caps for these types of scopes and he can help you I am sure to identify and/or replace whatever you might need.

Could be Unertl for something smaller than the 2" objective scope....perhaps a 1-1/2".

I believe you will find they are for a 1-1/4" Unertl target scope.

Thanks to everyone for their replies. The fellow I got them from thought they were for a Unertl, he just didn't know for sure. There is a member of the club I belong to that shows up almost every Wed. with 4 or 5 Anschutz target rifles with a Unertl mounted on each one, I'll keep these in my carry box and check them next time I see him. I just can't see buying a bunch of scopes looking to see if my caps fit. I always get great help on this forum. Thanks again.
