Here's some of the best work I've seen on takedown stock conversions. He's using the Hogue overmolded stocks (among others) and his work looks flawless.

How is the feel of the front end? Not flimsy whit the one mounting screw?

And how is the on and off mounting effected by the lack of a gap?

Gun Broker

My Hogue Overmolded stock on my Takedown is sturdy and the fit is perfect. I bought mine on Gun Broker. He can't sell on Ebay anymore, so he went to Gun Broker. They aren't cheap.

It feels solid, I use it for plinking at the range for fun.

Here is his reply. For reference the converted stock on GB was $149 + 15 shipping. I think sending several stocks is the only was to make converting your own stock worth while.
