I tried out my Savage 87A , that I bought at a pawn shop last week. It had a wire sticking up inside the area where it feeds, and would not load the shells. I took it back to the pawn shop, and told him I would keep it for half my money back.
First he said yes, then he looked it up, and said he would just have to give me all of my money back, which was fine. Then I noticed a perfect, new looking model 60, and I said, I will take that for the same price. He said ok, and away we go.

And he is going to have his gunsmith look at the savage, and once repaired, I can have it back for the same price.

Pretty happy right now.

Sounds like win-win to me
Gotta love those older guns though....wish my local pawn shops would cooperate....

I just picked up a Glenfield 75, and already own an 87A.

I like the Glenfield's short nature (more like a carbine), however I really like the 87A a lot. One of my favorite old rifles. More fun to shoot than the Glenfield I think.

Maybe the Glenfield will grow on me, we'll see.
