Yeah me too. I'm thinking about it.. I said my next 22 handgun was going to be S&W 617 10 shot. I may have to put that on hold and grab a single six.

I said I had a weakness for Ruger revolvers let me show off another one. This is the first one I had redone . It started life as 7.5" vaquero. It shot terribly,Ruger was'nt interested in fixing it. It layed in the back of the safe for a couple yrs So ifigured what the hell lets see what the smoth can do. I had the barrel cut to 5" and adjustable sights fitted. Also had a action job done.. Now she is really sweet six shooter.

Good thread to talk about our other toys Vincent

Just gave my M44 carbine and 500 rounds of ammo to a friend, (kicks like a team of mules and shoots minute of washing machine at 150) and ordered a K31. Hope its as accurate as they say it is. No more Mosins for me. I can shoot my Garrand all day but about 30 rounds from the Mosin is all I can stand. %%%% those Russians were TUFFFFF. AIM has a Enfield 2A shooter grade in .308 for $99.95 that looks pretty interesting. Gotta love those Mil Surps.

I got my K31 today! Gosh....the Swiss folks build a REALLY fine rifle. It would cost a fortune to machine a rifle like that.

The K31 is almost stunning it is so amazing the things they did on this rifle. Take the front barrel band for instance. Stamped steel? Not way. Cast? Nope. Forged and machined! It is hinged with hinge lines so finely fitted you have to look for the, and the screw? Not just any old screw will do. I has a shoulder on it and is pinned to the band with a tiny pin so ti can turn but can never be separated from the band and lost!!! Precision barrel bands? What is next? I'll tell you later

I will. Have not shot it yet but I just got 60 rounds and some bullets for reloading. I'm thinking this may be a great cast bullet rifle. The bore looks like new.

A fun little coincedence, My Enfield No4 Mk 1* and my K31 were both made in 1942. Must have been a good year for classic bolt action battle rifles. Of course one of them fought in that war and maybe others but the other, the K31, has never been shot in anger and has never drawn blood

Red face " Rioc's .22 "

MAG that is. LOL.

my buddy wanted to borrow either my .17 HMR or the .22 mag, to shoot
turkeys with. so i got the Biathlon Basic scoped and sighted in @ 60 yds,

box stock, 'cept that i re-did the finish with a bit of stain, probably one of my fave rifles,
but with the cost of ammo, i dont shoot it much. he should be able to get a turkey
out to at least 100 yds, if not, then he is the turkey, LOL,

rico....
