I'm a 10-precenter. I have only 2 worth terming "essential"

A Winchester 1885 in 22LR

and a CZ 455 Varmint (or 425 - I'm not fussy) in 22LR or WMR

That's it.

Lever: Winchester 9422 -- Runner-up: None

Bolt: Anschutz 1712 -- Runner-up: Weatherby Anschutz

Pump: None

Single Shot: 1885. -- Runner-up: None

Semi-Auto: Winchester 63 -- Runner-up: Browning BAR .22lr

I know I've been far less inclusive than the OP has asked. "Essential" is a strong word.

20 years ago I did about everything with the 10/22 and the good old long rifle. But it's no longer essential. I would say a 17 hmr is my essential go to round these days for varmint control. Exact bolt action doesn't matter. All do fine. rc

Chipmunk 22lr
Savage rascal (917 marlin if discontinued counts)

Cz 452 (class)
Ruger America (hunting)
Vudoo (comp)

Pumps in my mind are pointless unless you need speed and can't own semi autos.

Henry golden boy for fun
Blr for speed

Ruger 10/22
Marlin 60
Cz 512 if ya wanna be obteuse
A22 if you like ugly

Marlin tube feed 22wmr in stainless.

Volquartsen 17 hmr.... takes hunting and turns it to harvesting

Essential .22s

I have about a dozen different .22rf rifles and almost that many .22rf handguns. Each one fills a "niche" and therefore "essential". Everything from single shots to a Pietta PPSH50 w/a 50 rd drum and a new Kel Tec CP33 with the 33 rd magazines! That's 83 rds without reloading! There are several high quality bolt guns, a Remington Nylon 66 and a Colt small frame Lightning pump gun in .22 Long! Handguns range from 6 shot single actions to Colt Woodsman Match Target and the afore mentioned CP33. Someday my son will have to decide which to keep and which to sell. However, that will be his problem, not mine!

This is simple:

Just fill in the blanks with offerings from Kimber of Oregon and your list is complete
