Good luck finding them, I am sure they are out there, but you may have to look hard a pay a premium for them. It took me a while to find origianl 1922 M2 mags, but eventually I found them and they were not cheap!

I'm still kicking my own butt,,,

I'm still kicking my own butt,,,
For not immediately snatching the one I was offered back in 2010.

I had never seen or heard of one when a friend inherited his grandfathers original Whitney in the box.

He offered it to me for $200.00 flat.

I turned it down even though I had the cash in my pocket,,,
Then I went home and did a search on the gun.

I called him back that evening and tried to accept the original offer,,,
He had already promised it to the second of his "gun guy" friends.

Like I said,,,
Nine years later,,,
Still kicking my own %%%.

THAT is one of those mistakes you generally kick yourself for the rest of your life, my friend. Ouch!

Had one back in the early 60's it was a neat gun. Sights were primitive but was able to shoot what I aimed at. No problem feeding or ejecting would run as fast as I could pull the trigger.

Not sure I sold it or traded it off for something else. Wish I had have held on to it too.

Whitney Wolverine

I have two originals; one blued and one in nickel. Nickel specimen is in the box. Interesting guns way ahead of their time. I fired the blued one years ago. Never pput a round thru the nickel one.

Was concerned I had paid too much for my much used original.... $65 in 1981.

Was going to sell it but then got told by important to me lady it was her favorite.

Then about two years ago decided it might be worth too much even in its sad shape to just take up safe space... and my teen aged daughter saw it and ask to shoot it maybe in another couple of decades if I am still around I can sell it....

Got to say as much as I liked it the grip shape did not fit my obverse 1911A1 grip shape hand but was fun

Not as accurate as a Ruger, Colt, or High Standard base model of the time and I guess that is what killed them.

Lots of folk were convinced the aluminum frame was not going to last...fifty five years ago.

had one as a teen, dad sold it when I was off serving. Ugh. wish I still had it.
Amusingly I also had the blue plastic Zebra with the little yellow or white rubbery BBs that looked just like it, too.

Made the mistake of getting the Olympic remake. What a wreck. Never worked for %%%% and seemed very cheaply made. FTF all day.
-rear sight tends to want to slide off/fall out.
-had to get the factory to measure a ton of firing pins only to find out that some were "a bit short". they did end up sending me a new one free, but still have a ton of FTF problems. Not sure I ever measured both. Might need to do that...

I see the originals come up on GB quite a bit, but they are usually far outside my price range for the nostalgia and so-so shooter they were.

I did once run across a thread on arfcom where a fella found someone makes an adapter for the barrel thread and he was using it as a suppressor host. I think I saved all the photos. I want to say it was with the Olympic one? As I sort of remember the wooden grips. been a while.
Well that wasn't too hard to find:

Those are crazy looking guns. Somewhat Art Deco, but in the 50's...
