I ordered this rifle from a large online retailer. Never saw it prior to purchase, and ended up getting lucky with the figure in the stock. Its by far my prettiest CZ stock to date. I got lucky in the wood lottery department. Just wanted others to see what I am excited about.
I felt compelled to order a FS while I still could.
Its in .223, and shoots well open sighted but I have been flirting with the idea of putting some glass on it.
Take care.20190713_130554_1563116278753.jpg

lv2fish sir thanks for sharing and congrats on getting a fantastic lotto winner Trust me I know the feeling when I got mine...all I was hoping for was no knots and look what I got (the one in back). When I opened the box it took me a like 15 seconds to realize what I had got...I just could not believe it. Happy dancing all the way home. Scope it and let us know how it works for you...and we need pictures out in the sun to let that wood grain shine. Some thing like this:

22 Hornet in front and 222 in back.

P.S. I was just joking about selling it...it should never leave your family. I know if I had it I would never let it go.

Whtsmoke sir you got that right...when I see something like what you have it makes me drooooool to get one like that...just look at my very first CZ rifle...it's a 452 FS in 22mag and it's as plain as they come:

even my 455 FS has better wood on it (in front) and my 452 FS in 17hmr in back.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger if Wonderdog1 wants to sell his I will buy his too...I helped him find his 22mag model;

It's beautiful! Just like a lot of others I've seen but never one I've come across personally. They HAVE to see me coming!

No sour grapes here - seriously. I'm plenty happy enough with all the other great aspects of the CZs that I'm OK with "OK" wood. I just find it a little comical that not once has one of these exceptional stocks come my way.

The order shows up and they see who it's for -
"aw, this guy wouldn't complain if it was a piece of balsa wood - send him this one."

I love my CZs and love my plain-as-a-mud-fence walnut stocks. I don't hate plastic, but I'm in love with wood, pretty or plain, I'm happy.

Nice rifle and pretty to boot - enjoy that gem.

Jeff H.
I would have been happy with plain Jane wood, but having a pleasant surprise when opening the box helped lighten the blow. See, I convinced myself to sell a nice Remington 03A3 to fund my 527FS project here. I do regret letting the old war horse go, but it seemed like a reasonable concept in the heat of the moment. So when I see this pretty stock I do feel better about my decision.
Good luck on your stock lotto future!
Your day will come if you just keep buying more CZs.

And, thanks everyone for the replies!

To all...

If i scope this rifle, what group should i expect with factory ammo. " CZ average"
Sub moa? Or under 2 inches at 100.
Im getting around 3" @100yds with open sights 55 grain federal bulk.
Haven't tried target ammo yet because i figured my vision would be under par to get my $$$ worth.

Thanks

The most recent "standard" .223 twist from CZ is 1:9 and its likely something on the 60-75 gr. side will shoot best, that said I've had good results with 50-55 gr. in one 1:9 twist. Every rifle is a law unto itself.

That's pretty darn good! Federal bulk FMJ shoots 2"+ in my Tikka Varmint 223 (1:8) and Howa Mini-action Ltwt 223 (1:9) with scopes. It's junk ammo for people that just like to make a lot of noise and don't care if they hit anything. Both of these rifles shoot cheap 50 grain Fiocchi V-max rounds sub MOA. Often less than half MOA. Try better ammo and scope it. A good 1:9 barrel will stabilize anything upto 75 grain. I should say that I haven't tried anything under 50 grain because ballisticlly I don't see the point.

Jeff H sir lv2fish is correct if you buy enough of them you will get a lotto winner. On my CZ 527 FS in 222 almost every one I saw was plain as day and a few even had knots in the stock...but when I opened my box I stood there dumb founded for a few seconds...WHAT...STRIPS Then it hit me and boy did I every have the biggest smile I ever had...I was calling people like Bandit1250 and Jeff Miller from all my excitement. I was on cloud nine.

I have 16 CZ rifles now and some are plain as day like my CZ 550FS in 308 Win and let me tell you it is fantastic because the 550FS came with two different style of stocks and I my friend got the one I wanted it's just like my 452 FS rifles.

here is my very first CZ a 452 FS in 22mag and my 550 FS

here is a full size picture of my 550 FS. Just as plain as they come.

it took me three years of looking to find my CZ 452 American in 22mag with some nice wood on it...thousands of miles and plenty of frowns when I could not find one...I even gave up a few times and bought other rifles because it was just not going to happen for me...then on a Saturday right after fourth of July wonderdog1 here found me my needle in the huge hay stack. I could not pull my wallet out of my pocket fast enough...anyway I got this one

My CZ 452 Americans both in 22mag with V-16 scopes on them. My Sunday gun and the other one for the rest of the week.

Don't worry you time is coming....just like the rest of us.

Congrats, Iv2fish!

BEAUTIFUL rifle, even with the stripes. Hope it performs for you as good as it looks.
