Come on Harry. You know my motto.

"Enough ammo is never enough ammo"

Now that we are here in NV full time, we shoot at least once a week and usually go thru 1K rounds, many times more than that. As long as my health holds out, I don't intend to run out, nor pay scalper prices.

Glad to see you still check in now and then.

Just bought another two Green Mountain barrels when they were on sale the past three days with free ship. Actually a bit cheaper than Rimfire Sports.

You can find a lot of info in the forum below. Also do a seach for the posts in that forum. Or just scoll thru the first few pages. There's lots of folks talking about them, along with some pics too.

That's the spirit Charlie.

Green Mountain makes great target barrels. Even my Crosman Marauder .25 PCP came with a GM barrel from the factory and it's a tack driver out to 50 yards.

Check out my post #17 in the link below. Also, my other comments. My Ruger 1264, the ss Mannlicher, is the one I replaced the factory with a longer GM. Came out nice and now it shoots very nicely. In the couple of months I've had it, I probably have 3K rounds through it.

Since this pic, I've put on an Atlas bipod and a ss bolt handle. I'll have to update my pics, as I've been talking in other threads and forums about it.

For those of you who aren't Target Sports members, or don't want to spend the $$$ for a whole case, the Midway price is a good deal as it includes shipping when buying 3 bricks. Looks like you get hit with the tax at either place though.

I don't see how long the free ship is good for. Now I do, it's good thru 7/31. Wow.

For a 10/22 and 22/45 should I order standard velocity or the extra velocity of the Aguila? And is this .22 on par with CCI?

SV functions in mine, but the HV won't hurt either gun.

You won't know which shoots more accurately in your guns until you try them.

Aquila SV shoots as well, and better in some cases, in the Winchester 52 that I tested it in. So, I bought another case while it was on sale at Midsouth Shooters last week.

Chinaboy, both work well. Some semi autos are particular, but our 22/45 and 10/22 run aguila sv just fine. I think CCI sv is usually better, but most of the time it doesn't matter for us when ringing gongs offhand . so we keep some aguila and/or CCI Blazer on hand.

Thanks for replies guys. I ordered 3 boxes of each standard and high-velocity to test in my future 10/22. I liked the idea of the high velocity being coper plated. So I will test these out and see what I think.

I also ordered my first 10rd clear mag. I almost forgot to order a mag when I bought all my parts. That would have stunk to assemble my gun and not have thought of a mag.

I've found the Aguila t to be the most accurate ammunition in my Savage B22G at this price point. I also ordered three bricks and got the free shipping.

First time I've seen this newbie rimfire from Herter's. They are calling it Herter's Target Rimfire and it's up at Cabela's for $18 a brick of 500 bulk rounds. Haven't found out much about it on Google as it seems to be only available right now at BP/Cabela's. At least according to Google.

One review so far, 1 star. "10% FTF". It's a 36 gr hp and I think it's sv as it's listed as 1085 fps. Below is the link to C's about it and a link of a You Tube about it.
