..LOL... ca 557 bolt help

Hi, i'm dumb, does anyone know how to remove bolt from cz 557 varmint? I can not find any instructions in the booklet. I can't see any bolt release..??

....yeah...stupid question...BUT... i can't figure it out!!

I don't have a 557, but did you try pulling the trigger and sliding it out? A safety note.....make sure it's empty first!!

Is there a bolt stop on the left side of the receiver that can be toggled in and out?
Think Mauser action.
This was off the top of my head so now I will go to the CZ site and see what the manual has to say.

no it does not have a bolt stop on the side like my 452 and 527's.

Here's the pertinent photo from my CZ550 American manual- that's the closest I can come.

And for informational purposes only, CZ452's and 453's do not have bolt releases other than their triggers.

My bit of research reveals that the bolt stop on the 557 is very similar to that of the 550 but slightly less obvious.

Anyway, here is the manual which says to open the bolt fully and then depress the bolt stop which is illustrated in Fig.10.
