Wild price variations
A perfectly beatuiful 871 (Whiteline-bullseye-goldtrigger-tubefed) just went down for $300 on GB. And an 871, a match of this one, went for $405 if I recall less than a month ago. That's a crazy price spread for two guns that matched and in a short time span===no pricing stability.

Wow, this makes me realize just what bargains I got in the three 25 MN's I've bought recently. $200, $190, and $150.

That is the things with auctions. don't get caught up in a price war cause they'll be another one coming along.......it's what auctions are all about.

Purely the luck of the draw. If you look at completed auctions on GB you will see a lot of variation. I've had guns that don't make their reserve on the first go around. Next time it will sell for $100 over the reserve. Totally random.

Talk about prices varying wildly--look at this!

I'd have been tempted to bid, except I'd have to pay sales tax and I'm also trying to thin down the herd, not add more to it.

871?
Are you sure the rifles are 871s? Never heard of that model. Maybe you mean 781?

There is a very nice 25, with the sticker on the forearm, at my local Cabelas for $109 right now.
