Where does the 10/22 firing pin impact the rim of a .22 rimfire case?
My CMMG conversion's firing pin impacts at exactly the 12:00 position. I know this by using fired cases with the original indentation highlighted and placed at 09:00 position.

I believe at 12:00 as well

Factory and aftermarket factory copies impact at the 12 o’clock position.

I believe There are some modified versions that strike at the 6 o’clock position but I’m not certain about this.

Using the factory Ruger bolt the firing pin can only strike at the 12 o'clock position as it runs in the top center of the bolt.
