micro barrels-Challenge vs Tac Sol

I'm looking at the micro barrels.......... I already have Buckmarks with the round micro in a blue and a stainless and the micro slabside in a blue and a stainless.

The micro challenge barrel is about $100 with a Dawson Hi fiber optic sight, and the micro TacSol is about $220 with fiber optic sight. Both barrels are less than 5 oz in weight which would put the Buckmark at a total of 24-26oz. A new 5-1/2 inch barrel Challenge weighs in at 25oz according to the Browning website. A stock micro barrel Buckmark weighs 32oz.

I don't need the threaded barrel on a 4 inch barrel.

I know many have the Tac Sol micro, but does anyone have the micro Challenge barrel to comment a review on?

dimeman, I only have the 5 1/2" challenge barrel on my buckmark and it is super sweet. I bought the gun used with a 4 inch tac sol threaded and it didn't feel right with that light barrel on there, I couldn't hold it steady, although I never screwed anything onto the threads except the bushing, very well made though. with a vortex venom sight and the 5 1/2" challenge barrel I made some great shots on crows and muskrats out past 70 yds. But I was shooting it a lot then too.

It would be interesting if Browning made a 7-1/4 inch Buckmark Challenge barrel....

that 5 1/2" shoots beautifully and is great to carry. It has exceeded my expectations by a long shot. I bought it for 70 some dollars a couple years ago. Not sure where I got it, I'm thinking I got it from browning. I thought there was a longer challenge barrel but maybe I'm dreaming. maybe 6 or 6 1/2"

I think the old Browning Challengers different than the Buckmarks had a 6 inch barrel.
