Windage knob on BE

So, I took the windage cable assembly off the BE, and put the knob from the assembly on the manifold stud. But, the knob sure looks big and out of proportion hanging off the side of the rest. Just wondering if anyone has cut that knob in half...is it a solid piece of aluminum?

One picture I saw on another thread, can't find it now, someone found a whole different style knob. Wonder where they found that...what's it from?
