Sheriff

I like what you did with the tape.

CW, I had similar results from painting mine. Boy is your scope slammed that's awesome! What length barrel did you start with?

I duracoated a Marlin stock today to see how I like it and if it holds up I'm going to do the same to the RAR but a different color.
I wanted the 18'' but my retailer only bought 22''. So I shot it a bit at 22 then took the saw to it. SO GLAD I did!!

Its just a temporary fix until I can get it to my guy who does my Hydro Graphics. I really like that tree bark pattern. I have several rifles done like that. I have to admit, the tape creates a nice texture on the stock making it easy to grip though. I did that in about 15 minutes before I went hunting one day and your right, it didn't turn out half bad looking. The down side is that fabric tape is meant to be removed, so it will peel up after time.

Kinda gives you something to open up on if duck hunting is bad.

The rifle will do MOA with Rem. 33 gr and Hornady 30gr vmax loads and 1.5 MOA with a couple of 40gr loads, a fine little rifle for the money.
I think I'm going to try and replicate this paint job. I really like it.

Here's my attempt, I want to clear coat it but can't find an ultra flat clear, only satin and matte. Matte was too glossy. Any suggestions?

Smile New TechSights

Just put on the TechSights received yesterday, otherwise stock .22lr standard length barreled RAR: It's only 18 degrees F outside but I gotta go give the new sights a looksie. Next thing I'm looking at is a new Boyd's stock. Happy shooting, Fixxer
